Sappho May
Biografie:
I have many backgrounds, including fine arts, art history, psychoanalysis, psychology and psychedelic research among others. What interests me is how we relate to ourselves, each other, the earth and all her beings. I love our living world, the incredible variety of life that exists. I currently work in a private praxis and at the UZH researching psychedelics, where I focus on the role of preparation and integration. I am also involved in several creative and collaborative projects, which are dear to me.
Werkbeschrieb:
I love combining different processes to explore the aliveness of our planet and animism. I want to honour the beauty of our world and its magic, to re-enchant with symbolism and association, to deepen connection and relationship. I believe that ritual, ceremony and reciprocity strengthen belonging and that we should lift up the seemingly small wonders of the earth to show their magnificence. To be in awe of her magnificence. To remember that everything and everyone is connected. For this exhibition I wanted to create an altar celebrating the love for ritual, life and the elements. Join us! We are all in this together.
