Balanza&Eva describes two friends who translate their reflections on social structures into their joint work. The interaction between space and people is a central element. Balanza leGendery is an art figure, more precisely a drag queen, and is embodied by Stefan Fasel. Stefan, social worker, lives in Bern. Eva Schneuwly, architect, lives in Zurich. Both share a childhood in the canton of Fribourg

The photo series shows a documentation of a performance that took place in a Catholic Loreto chapel. Several rituals were staged, which can either be traced back to the act of profanation or refer to the historical background of the typology of the Loreto Chapel. The costume worn by Balanza leGendery is a new interpretation of the «Sensler Tracht» and was designed by Laurent Hermann Progin.
